Fire Pump Systems
Fire pump systems are high pressure water pumps designed to increase the fire fighting capacity of a building by boosting the pressure in the water service when mains is not enough, or when tank fed.
Fire hydrant pump systems can mean the difference between life and death. While it’s the hydrant or sprinkler heads that actually distribute the water in case of a fire, the pump is the component of any hydrant or sprinkler system that matters most.
Without the pump to pressurise the water and actually deliver it to the hydrant or sprinkler heads, there is no way that the system can operate—and therefore no way that the system can put out or contribute to the fight against a fire.
Fire Pump Maintenance
Just like home smoke detectors need to be checked on a regular basis to ensure ongoing battery power and performance, commercial fire sprinkler systems need to be inspected and maintained if they are going to be effective when they are truly needed. Monthly, Six-Monthly, Yearly & Five-yearly inspections are a requirement of the Australian Standards.
